A glass-reinforced polycarbonate shroud allows for mounting cameras and head lamps. A customized Boa Fit System guarantees a precise fit adjustment with single handed quick release. Under the chin strap utilizes a Fidlock magnetic buckle closure for one-handed operation even while wearing gloves. Accessory rails allow for mounting a variety of lights and cameras. Removable ear cups specifically designed to be comfortable while using in-ear communication systems and includes a pocket for drop-in audio device compatibility. There are 14 total vents, including 8 crown (adjustable), 2 front (passive open) and 4 rear (fixed open) for maximum cooling during high exertion rescues. The 8 adjustable crown vents have three positions (open, half open and closed) to accommodate both warm and cold conditions. The 2 above-goggle vent channels draw air through the helmet to the rear exhaust ports to reduce goggle fogging. There is also an integrated goggle strap retention to keep your goggles securely in place. The M42 Helmet was introduced on the 6th July, 1942, and was the last time German Helmets were upgraded during the war. They maintained much of the design of the M40 Helmets, but does not feature the rolled edge of it’s predecessor – this was to save both time and material during manufacture.

These top quality reproductions are made from a tough steel, 1.6mm like the originals. They have all the correct fittings, and have a superb repro leather liner, with a leather drawstring and chin strap already fitted. We had them made in two different pot sizes allowing us to fit different liners, giving us sizes from 56-63cm!
